At the beginning of 21^st century, Vietnamese people in Australia have had a lot of demand to send money to relation. With financial foundation, business tradition in jewels, precious stone and currency and good relationship, Universal Money Transfer (UMT) was established in Australia by the New Gold Sun Pty Ltd located at 3/294 Marrickville Rd., Marrickville, NSW 2204, Australia in March 2007.

To guarantee this service safety, Vietnam needs to have an enterprise. That is the reason Thien Van Loc private enterprise was set up, acted as UMT Australia’s representative in Vietnam, ensuring direct payments in big cities including Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding areas. Thien Van Loc also controls all transactions authorized by UMT Australia via Vietnamese Banking system.

To wish to bring safer, faster and cheaper service for their customers, UMT was restructured to become a Joint Stock Company with five Australian founders on 15^th August 2007. The company offered services in two Australia states including New South Wales and Victoria. Thus, in June 2008, Universal Money Transfer Joint Stock Company was established in Vietnam: This is the first non-bank money transfer company in Vietnam. UMT Vietnam is partly owned and managed by UMT Australia key founders. UMT is trade name and intangible property of company. Logo UMT is come into of use to open branches of UMT in others countries in the near future. Vietnam will become centre to process service money transfer in the global.

The two companies also cooperate to launch a UMT’s Value Added Membership Card ampaign to ensure more customer satisfaction services, including: Vietnamese Overseas Card, Travel Card, Business Card, Student Card, Worker Card.
