Last Tuesday in Hanoi, the same scholarships were awarded to 45 students from the Vietnam National University and the Hanoi University, both in Hanoi, according to International Education Vietnam, which administers the scholarship program.

The grants are the foundation’s first in Vietnam after it launched the scholarship program five months ago.

Established in April 1994, the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Global Foundation provides scholarships for students of 25 Asian universities.
